I have been having a blast showering my wife with love notes, surprises, flowers, baths, massages and dinners.  She has been loving it.  And our sex life has been great up to a week ago.  Her emotional libido tanks are being filled, even though she has been tired.  However, I have gotten carried away.  The other day she didn’t react in her usual appreciative way – usually big hugs and lots of smiles and kisses.  She was tired.  And she was a little overwhelmed.  I was making her tired.  Plus the fact that I was loving her always kissing on me, so I was continually trying to hug and kiss her – too much so - and it came off as being “clingy”.  Trust me: you don’t want to be clingy.  Big oops – be careful: it is very easy to get addicted to romancing your wife.

She explained (once again) that there is such a thing as too much.  Duh! (smacking myself on the forehead)  I knew that!  But I was having so much fun, I forgot a simple rule: you have to take breaks and not pour it on too thick or too fast.  So when your wife expresses that you are going overboard don’t get offended - bring it down a couple of notches.  I have pulled back and in the past couple of days, we have gotten back to our normal affectionate loving selves without going overboard.
