Happy New Year!  2008 can be great! (cheesy, but true)

I am looking forward to 2008 in a big way.  Not only am I more aggressively marketing IgniteHerPassion.com by helping people in forums, posting to other blogs, and publishing articles on sites like ArticleGeek.com, I am refreshing my memory about what it takes to have a really passionate marriage and fantastic married sex life.  As a result, I am seeing the benefits all over again.

Things have been good, but it wasn't always that way.  My first marriage had some major intimacy issues.  Unfortunately, I was not mature enough and did not know enough about how to handle it.  I pushed harder and harder and the effect was the opposite of what I wanted.  Getting sex was like pulling teeth.  Since I cannot control what other people do, things happened that I could not get past.  So the marriage ended.

I read a lot of books, went to a lot of counseling, dated a lot and learned as much as I could about how to keep things going in a relationship.  I also became a Christian and God helped me discover the way marriage is supposed to operate; and one area that it should shine for both husband and wife is in the bedroom.

When I met my wife, it was like fireworks.  But after we got married, there were some familiar patterns showing up.  Sex was becoming less frequent and more initiated by me than her.  And soon it was me asking for sex and pushing for it.  So I started to listen to what I had learned and apply what I was taught.  And I created some of my own ways of igniting passion in my wife.  And it worked!

But as time marched on, I fell into a new kind of rut.  Well, now that I have been working on IgniteHerPassion.com, I am bringing all the ideas back and creating new ones.  And I have renewed my efforts to serve and lead and love my wife.  Over the past two months we have become even closer and, even though she is nursing our 5 month old and having post-pregnancy hormonal issues, she is initiating more often than I even wished for!  So - in a nutshell: IgniteHerPassion.com has helped me a lot in the past two months - and I can't wait to see what happens in 2008!  And I hope it helps many other husbands out there to have the kind of sex lives they wish for.  I am stoked for 2008!  Happy New Year!
