One of your duties as a husband and a leader is to take care of the family and the house.  It's funny how doing some minor home improvement can build respect and your wife's attraction to you.  It's manly stuff: and wives love their manly men (not macho - manly).

So take care of those little things.  Leaky toilet?  Get a new toilet kit and install it.  Wife's breaks squeaking? Fix them - or take them to get fixed.  Don't let things sit.

Recently my wife was annoyed with me because for the past year, our dryer has taken forever to dry clothes.  Why?  The vent pipe had five turns and over 30 feet of tubing back and forth (because of our home's layout).  I had to replace the dryer vent.  I don't like working under the house and don't like poking holes in the floors / walls - so I kept putting it off.  Big mistake.  It was looming for a long time.  And she started to feel like a nag for mentioning it.  This did not boost her opinion of me; and thus it was not good for her feelings of attraction to me.  The result was a negative dent in her libido.

Well, I finally got to it.  It was a several hour job.  But the result is two turns and 21 feet of run.  Now our clothes dry in 1/3 the time.  She is very happy about that.  And it showed for several days.  I made a nice deposit in the respect bank and her emotional libido bank.  Plus I feel much better as well: it's done.

The moral of the story is this - if something needs to get done, it won't go away.  What will happen is your wife will feel like a nag for having to mention it over and over again.  Don't make her do that: put it on a calendar and make a commitment to get it done asap.  Get it done and get it out of your hair.  She'll appreciate it and you'll feel a lot better.  Keep making those deposits in her emotional libido tank and keep earning respect - you will find that your wife will begin to be much more attracted to you for being a man that takes care of things - her manly man.  Romance will follow...
